Does CBD Help Tinnitus?

Medical experts have yet to find the ultimate cure for tinnitus, a medical condition that affects millions of people around the world.

Millions Of People Suffer From Tinnitus. Recently, People Have Resorted To CBD To Treat It. But Does CBD Help Tinnitus? And Why Use Green Roads CBD? Let’s Find Out!

For this reason, those who suffer from the condition are left to pursue whatever treatment they can get their hands on.

For a lot of people, this means resorting to CBD, short for cannabidiol.

But first, what is CBD or Cannabidiol?

If you’re not familiar with CBD yet, it’s a chemical compound that is found in the Cannabis plant.

Yes, I’m talking about marijuana and hemp. Don’t freak out just yet, because the CBD that’s currently approved by law is one that’s extracted from industrial hemp.

This means CBD-based products sold in the market today contain no more than 0.3% THC, which is the substance in marijuana that produces psychoactive effects.

The question is, does CBD help tinnitus at all? Before we answer that question, let’s first get into the details of what tinnitus is all about.

What Is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is a condition characterized by the hearing of ringing noises in one or both ears.

Nearly all people will experience this symptom when inside a room that’s completely quiet, but it becomes a problem if it becomes bothersome, which is the case for 50 million Americans.

The noise someone with tinnitus hears is not caused by any external sound, which means if you have tinnitus, only you are able to hear the ringing in your ear.

Tinnitus is not a disease per se but is a symptom of any underlying condition.

It could be related to hearing loss as a result of aging.

It could also be a symptom of an ear injury or even an issue with the circulatory system.

Many people who have tinnitus experience relief after a series of treatments targeted at the underlying cause.

People with tinnitus often describe the experience as hearing some ringing in one or both ears.

However, the condition can also cause various other noises in the ears.

The noises involved with tinnitus may vary in pitch. Some noise may come in the form of a low roar, while others in the form of a high-pitched squeal.

Sometimes, the sound can be so loud and distracting that it interferes with a person’s quality of life.

And while some people experience tinnitus all the time, for others, the symptoms may come and go.

One type of tinnitus is referred to as pulsatile tinnitus.

This is tinnitus that is characterized by a whooshing sound in the ears or some rhythmic pulsing that beats in time with the heart.

If a person has this kind of tinnitus, the doctor may be able to hear it when they perform an examination.

This is also referred to as objective tinnitus, which is contrary to subjective tinnitus that only the person experiencing it could hear.

Recently, people have started considering CBD-based products for treating tinnitus.

We’ll get into the details of how CBD may help with tinnitus, but if you want to try high-quality CBD products now, you can visit this page instead.

How Is Tinnitus Diagnosed?

Your physician can diagnose you with tinnitus just by identifying your symptoms.

However, before your doctor can treat the symptoms, they will first try to find out whether there are other underlying conditions that might be causing it.

In many cases, no other cause is identified.

If you’re going to the doctor to be checked for tinnitus, expect to be asked about your medical history.

Your doctor will also examine your ears, as well as your head and neck.

Prepare to undergo a hearing or audiological exam during your visit to the doctor.

You’ll be required to sit inside a soundproof room for this test, and you’ll be wearing a pair of earphones that transmit specific sounds.

You’ll be asked to indicate when you can hear specific sounds, and the results will be checked against what is normal for your age.

You’ll be asked specifically for four types of noises.

If you hear clicking sounds, it could suggest that there might be some muscle contractions in your ear.

Meanwhile, pulsing sounds are usually caused by high blood pressure.

You might also hear low-pitched ringing, which may suggest blockages to the ear canal.

And finally, if you hear high-pitched ringing, which is the most common sound produced by tinnitus, it could be a sign of acoustic neuroma, or perhaps a result of exposure to loud noise.

Aside from a hearing exam, you will also be asked to perform certain movements.

For instance, your doctor might ask you to clench your jaw and move your eyes, neck, arms, and legs.

If during the test, your symptoms worsen or change, it may help your doctor identify some possible underlying conditions that need to be treated immediately.

In addition,

you may also need to undergo some CT or MRI scans, depending on what the doctor suspects the real cause of your symptoms is.

And finally, you should also expect some lab tests to be performed, particularly blood tests, which will be needed to check for other potential problems, such as heart disease, thyroid issues, and vitamin deficiency.

Can CBD Help With Tinnitus?

Despite the promising studies done on tinnitus, no cure has been found for the condition.

What doctors focus on instead are strategies for patients to cope with the symptoms so that they are less disruptive.

Some of the most common treatments involve masking techniques, including white noise therapy.

Relaxation exercises and counseling are considered effective solutions, too.

For most people with tinnitus, the common problem doctors encounter is anxiety.

For this reason, treatments are often focused on this area.

Patients are given some form of medication to treat anxiety as well as insomnia.

These may prove effective to some degree but can cause some unwanted side effects.

Recently, a study has found that CBD (you can get high-quality CBD products here) might offer some relief for symptoms of tinnitus.

The question is, how exactly does CBD help with tinnitus?

One reason that tinnitus sufferers have been resorting to CBD for treatment of their symptoms is that tinnitus has similarities with neuropathic pain.

As you might already know, CBD has been found to be effective in modulating pain caused by damage to the nerves.

In a 2019 study published in The Hearing Journal, it was stated that cannabidiol was effective in reducing anxiety and stress cycles in people with tinnitus.

They worry all the time about how to get rid of the problem.

They worry more that it would get worse and that there’s nothing they could do about it.

In some cases, these worries result in insomnia, and eventually depression. CBD doesn’t directly treat tinnitus, but it sure can help reduce anxiety in patients, helping them to relax.

This significantly improves the quality of their life.

What’s The Best CBD Product For Tinnitus?

There are no studies yet that recommend which type of CBD product is best for tinnitus.

We can only assume that any CBD-based product that you’re comfortable using should work.

Most people prefer CBD oil because they work fast.

Others prefer CBD gummies since they are convenient and can be taken discreetly anytime and anywhere.

Perhaps the only important thing to remember when using CBD products for tinnitus is to make sure that you get your CBD from a trusted source.

That said, not all CBD products you see in the market will be able to help you with tinnitus.

Many of these products don’t even contain CBD in the first place.

As for me, I only trust Green Roads for my CBD needs.

I have been using CBD products for several years now, and I’ve also jumped from one brand to another in the beginning.

Green Roads Product Line

What I love about Green Roads is the company’s commitment to providing nothing but high-quality CBD products.

All Green Roads products go through a thorough series of tests to make sure they are effective and safe for human use.

One thing to consider when using CBD for tinnitus is to opt for full-spectrum CBD. “Full-spectrum” is a term used to describe CBD products that contain all cannabinoids and beneficial compounds found in industrial hemp.

In addition, full-spectrum CBD products also contain 0.3% THC.

There’s no need to worry, though, because this amount adheres to the legal limit and is not enough to produce psychedelic effects.

Conclusion

Does CBD help tinnitus?

Evidence shows that CBD might help with some symptoms of tinnitus, particularly anxiety and stress.

Don’t believe people saying that CBD can cure tinnitus.

Again, no cure has yet been discovered for tinnitus, and CBD doesn’t directly target the condition.

Yet, that doesn’t mean people with tinnitus won’t be able to benefit from CBD.

Man Taking CBD Oil

As mentioned, one of the most common effects of tinnitus is anxiety among sufferers, and CBD has been found to help relieve anxiety and stress.

If you’re suffering from tinnitus and couldn’t stop worrying about your condition, CBD-based products might offer some relief.

Be sure to talk to your physician first about your plans of adding CBD into your treatment.

And when you’re ready, go to this page and enjoy a wide selection of high-quality CBD-based products.

  1. From your post, I may get to the conclusion that there’s no cure for tinnitus and CBD is a great help for people to cope with the awful symptoms they have. Traditional medicine should focus on finding the causes more than on getting a drug that most of the time just hides the real problem. Thanks for your very thorough and valuable review of the topic.
