Does CBD Help Fibromyalgia?

Does CBD Help Fibromyalgia?

Does CBD help fibromyalgia? Perhaps you’re among the thousands of people asking this question. If indeed you are, then you have come to the right place. I am going to answer this very question with this post. But first, what is fibromyalgia? What does science say about the benefits of CBD to people with this condition? Find Out Which Product Works Best!

Let’s find out!

Fibromyalgia is Different for Everyone

Woman With Fibromyalgia Pain

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition considered to be the second most common disorder to affect the bones and muscles. Despite this fact, it’s also one of the most misunderstood and often misdiagnosed conditions. It’s even often confused with arthritis or joint inflammation, although that’s because it does exhibit similar symptoms, which include fatigue and widespread joint and muscle pain.

If you have fibromyalgia or know someone who has it, then you understand how serious it can be. The pain can become too unbearable sometimes and make your entire body extremely sensitive to the slightest touch. And if in case, you hurt yourself, the pain could stay longer than it normally would.

Fibromyalgia has several symptoms, although they may vary from person to person. The main symptom of this condition is widespread pain, accompanied by extreme sensitivity, stiffness, fatigue, headaches, trouble remembering, poor sleep quality, restless leg syndrome, and sometimes anxiety and depression.

I want to remind you that fibromyalgia can affect people differently, so one person’s symptoms might differ from another person’s. That said, there is no one answer to the question of how CBD affects fibromyalgia. Before we make any conclusions, though, let’s find out first what studies say about CBD for fibromyalgia.

What Fibromyalgia Studies Say

A few studies have looked into the effectiveness of CBD for fibromyalgia. Researchers aren’t one-hundred percent sure yet why CBD appears to help with fibromyalgia, reducing some of its symptoms. However, there are solid theories researchers are currently testing.

Man With Fibromyalgia Pain

Another thing researchers aren’t sure of is why CBD seems to work in some individuals and not in others. One thing they are sure of, though, is that CBD can help reduce fibromyalgia pain by the way it affects the brain. What CBD does is interrupt nerve pathways where pain signals between the brain and different organs of the body.

CBD is known to improve sleep, too, as well as reduce refractory pain, especially in patients with irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, and fibromyalgia. People I know who have the condition reported that taking CBD helps them sleep better at night. This, in turn, makes the following day less painful. This makes sense because lack of sleep plays a role in increasing fibromyalgia pain.

CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, too. This helps reduce swelling and inflammation around a region of the body that’s injured. This also contributes to pain reduction. What’s interesting is that a study in 2016 suggested that one possible root of chronic pain syndromes like fibromyalgia is the lack of endocannabinoids in the body. This is the reason that taking CBD-based products, such as those by Green Roads, can help alleviate chronic pain.

I mentioned Green Roads, by the way, because it’s the brand of CBD product I personally use and recommend. If you’re looking for high-quality CBD products to help you deal with bodily pain, I would highly encourage you to get them here.

Look for CBD Products That Say “Broad Spectrum”

Green Roads Product LineI’ve scoured the internet for information about the use of CBD for fibromyalgia. What I found to be common among fibromyalgia patients who use CBD is that most of them preferred full-spectrum CBD products. One user said CBD alone can only do so much, and that what worked for him was CBD hemp flower that’s low in THC.

What this means is that CBD alone might not be enough to help with fibromyalgia. This is where full-spectrum CBD comes in. In case, you’re not aware, CBD products could be either broad-spectrum or full-spectrum. The former refers to products made using a “broad” range of cannabinoids with most of the THC removed as much as possible.

Full-spectrum, on the other hand, refers to products that contain the full range of valuable cannabinoids including THC. Why is this important? It turns out that some health conditions can only benefit from CBD if it is combined with THC. Don’t worry about getting high because most CBD products sold in the market only contain the legal limit, which is 0.3%.

This shouldn’t be a problem if you get your CBD products from Green Roads like me. You see, with Green Roads, you can choose between broad-spectrum and full-spectrum products. You can go here to get the fullest benefit of full-spectrum CBD for fibromyalgia symptoms.

How to Take CBD for Fibromyalgia

Anecdotal data has shown that taking CBD products may help alleviate symptoms of fibromyalgia. People with the condition who has used CBD have reported the following benefits:

● Better sleep

● Improved mood

● Improve cognitive function

● Pain relief

● Relief from painful periods for women

● Reduction in negative side effects of prescription medication

Fibromyalgia Diagnosis

In terms of side effects, CBD is known to have very few adverse side effects to none at all, although it can have sedating effects when taken in higher doses. If you haven’t tried CBD yet, it would be best to talk to your doctor first about your desire to use CBD as a co-treatment for your condition. Chances are, your doctor will give you some advice on what type of CBD to take and how much.

Keep in mind that CBD comes in different forms and doses. Depending on your condition, some may work for you and some may not. For fibromyalgia symptoms, perhaps the best option would be full-spectrum CBD oil. Green Roads CBD oil, in particular, are formulated for better absorption. They are also available in three strengths. This means you can control the dose that you need, whether it’s mild, moderate, or strong.

I always advise people to start with a low dosage first and gradually work their way up. Perhaps you’d like to start with CBD gummies or chocolates. Both contain lower amounts of CBD per serving. This will let you better observe the effects and find out which amount works best for you.

I also recommend that you administer CBD oils at a time most convenient to you, not when you’re in a hurry or when you have to drive. At least during the first few times when potential side effects might occur. Over time, your body will adjust to CBD, and taking it will be a more pleasant experience.

So, does CBD help fibromyalgia? Fibromyalgia is a chronic illness and one that shouldn’t be taken for granted. That said, it’s not something that CBD can cure. The main role of CBD is to alleviate some symptoms of the condition; it has never been claimed that CBD can cure it.

Woman Working At Dest With Fibromyalgia

I would suggest you use CBD in conjunction with doctor-prescribed medication and lifestyle changes. You may or may not experience the same effects as what others claim to have experienced, but again, that’s because fibromyalgia is different for everyone.

As mentioned, only choose high-quality CBD products, preferably broad-spectrum. Once again, for this, I would recommend Green Roads, the leading name in the CBD industry. Go here to browse their collection of premium CBD products, including CBD oils, edibles, soft gels, topicals, coffee, and more.

Thank you for sharing how CBD works for fibromyalgia in your experience.  I don’t know if this is my complaint or just arthritis.  I have always blamed the later.  I have been using CBD oil for over a  year now, and find that it is effective.  While not reliving the pain 100% all the time, makes the discomfort less and not last so long.  I also noticed that you suggested using the CBD Oil brand, Green Roads.  You suggested as well to use it with your usual medications from your Dr.  I have wondered about this, as I had noticed that after taking CBD oil that my over the counter medications are much more effective for several days.   I had not been using the two at the same time.  However, as my husband is having some issues now, wondering about how to help him decide the best path for him.

I am not remembering whether I have a full spectrum product or a broad-spectrum one.  Will have to read the label.  Thank you for sharing your conclusions about using CBD and for the things you have learned along the way.

Thank you for reading my post and for your comprehensive feedback. Both Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum are great products. The difference is that Broad Spectrum contains no THC while the Full Spectrum com rains the legal amount of 0.3% THC. That being said, if some is working in a zero tolerance work place the Full Spectrum could possibly cause a problem if they are drug tested.

Also be sure the product is pure. We had a man come into our store with a bottle and he was telling us it didn’t work for him. I read the label and it was 16% CBD with the remainder being Avocado Oil. Our CBD is 99% CBD with a 1% vegetable glycerin base. Unfortunately this business is still quite unregulated.

My Aunt has bones disease and her pressure seems to be always high. I’ve been looking for a cure to help ease the symptoms either than the pills she gets from the clinic every months and I once heard about CBD but didn’t know much about it. This review enlightened me and I’ll suggest this to her as I think it might help but I’ll also take your advice that she must consult a doctor first to know if it’s a best thing for her.

Judging from all the symptoms this can cure, I think it’s a best medicine for most diseases but I’m still not sure if one can just use it for better sleep alone or there should be a pain problem or something you are fighting against?

Thank you for reading my post about Fibromyalgia. Because of this I got into the CBDOil business. My sister Pat has suffered with it for years and I was looking for something that would ease her pain. since the CBD industry is al but totally unregulated it took me just over 18 months to find a company with a pure product that was CO2 extracted.

After suffering for over five years she is now almost completely pain free with the CBD Oil I chose for her. If you have any questions about this post or CBD products feel free to contact means I will get back to you as quickly as possible.

      Have a fantastic day,
